hi sir, anong error na lumalabas? where did you extract the mediainfo? paki check na rin
sa add/remove programs ng windows baka may na install na media info program. paki tangal
kung meron. I will try to recreate all that you did with my NMT and see what happens.
dun sa ext HDD mo anong directory pala nakalagay yung mga moves? I will try to simulate
your conditions and see if an error occurs.

after clicking My_YAMJ.cmd it ran up to "updating data for:" then a mediainfo window (containing the file summary) appeared and just stayed there.

1,. wala
2. root. tapos nasa folders ung movies. nagagawa naman nya ang list sa  My_Library.xml

will also try connecting my pc directly to modem, baka may conflict sa router

hi sir, I think i found the problem (hope so). here goes.

the mediainfo you downloaded is different.

                          yours - "MediaInfo_GUI_0.7.16_Windows_i386_WithoutInstaller"

                          mine - "MediaInfo_CLI_0.7.16_Windows_i386"

the difference is GUI (graphical user interface) vs CLI (command line interface)

In my guide above I stated that the CLI version should be downloaded and used.

Yes they  work differently but the problem is when I tried it they still produce the same results.
          A working jukebox.

Here is what I did using the GUI version.

             -   downloaded everything YAMJ and YAMJ GUI, and Medianinfo GUI.
             -   put them in c:\YAMJ
             -   connected my ext HDD on the usb port of my pc
             -   detected it as drive I:
             -   my movies are in I:\Movies-HD
             -   double click on c:\Yamj\yamj gui config v0.43.exe
             -   selected "I:\Movies-HD" on the Select Dir option
             -   click on " a usb drive attached to the NMT
             -   selected directory "I:\" on  location where you want jukebox to be stored option
             -   click on ADD then when a window ask you to input description just click OK.
             -   then another window appears "add to the library" click OK
             -   then click SAVE and select on dir c:\YAMJ then click OK
             -   it ask you to open click YES and automatically be brought to the YAMJ dir.
             -   double click on MY_YAMJ and a window will apear.
             -   an "updating data for: Fargo" screen will appear
this one is new to me.
             -   a new windows appears. either one of the two or both. click OK for the one with an
OK option and just exit the one without.  then the updating will continue.
until this two have appeared the updating... will seem to take on forever.

            -   the final result is still the same. the jukebox is created...

NOW IF YOU DOWNLOADED THE CLI VERSION OF MEDIAINFO WHICH IS LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM

AT THE BOTTOM YOU WILL SEE "MediaInfo - Command line" JUST CLICK ON THE PLUS SIGN
TO DOWNLOAD THE COMMAND LINE VERSION.
JUST USED THIS INSTEAD AND NO MORE GUI APPEARING

hi to all,   when downloading the mediainfo from this site;

             http://sourceforge.net/projects/mediainfo/files/

be sure to search for the file under "MediaInfo - Command line" at the bottom page
and not the "MediaInfo - Graphic interface". they both work but the GUI interface
has some annoying popups that could confused users.

hi sir, you have to place the "index.html" at the root directory to make it automatic.

hi sir, yes that is the root directory. are your movies inside a folder under the root directory z?
My working setup is like this, for example if my ext usb hd root directory is z then my movies
are inside Movies under z directory (z:\movies). when YAMJ prompts me where my movies
are located i selected z:\Movies and when it prompts me where to store my jukebox I
selected z:\  And then click ADD and SAVE and point it to my YAMJ directory c:\YAMJ.
An "index.htm" will then be created and placed automatically in root directory z

My movies are in subfolders--according to genre. When Yamj prompts where my movies are located, i select z:\. where to store my jukebox i point to my computer directory where i installed the files and just copy the index.htm afterwards to z:\.

hi sir, I tried your setup and it works naman. after I copied jukebox folder and index.htm to z:
nag automatic yung jukebox pag access ko ng usb dun sa NMT.  Why don't you try this instead
sir para wala ng copy copy ng index.htm and jukebox. why don't you just point kaagad yung
"where to store my jukebox" just point it to z: drive kaagad. try it sir baka ma solve problem.

Not sure if I'm already obsolete. But I just discovered this thread and my eGreat UI looks great!

For those a bit OC about posters. I created a photoshop action that automatically converts a downloaded movie poster to the jukebox png file complete with mirror reflection effect underneath.

Download posters from http://www.impawards.com/

Download, load and run this photoshop action: Movie Jukebox.atn
Load the .atn file in Photoshop

Run the "big" action to get the big version png file and overwrite the one on your NMT hd (i.e. Crank.2006.1080p.BluRay.x264_large.png)

After running the "big" action, run the "small" action to get the smaller version (i.e. Crank.2006.1080p.BluRay.x264_small.png)

Hope this helps.

sir mrm, napaka ganda ng thread na ito and very detailed ang pag share mo ng iyong kaalaman...salamat susubukan ko ito sa hdx10000 ko. pwede ba ito kahit may internal hd AND external hd ako. yamj will detect my moveis from both drives? tried oversight but it did not detect all my moveis and tv series so i decided to uninstall.

hi sir, yes puede siya with both internal and external HD (via usb). I currently have a internal drive and
2 usb drives all connected at the same time with no problems.

4. Next is to select the directory where we would want ur "index.html" file to be placed.
In my case since my movies are in M:\Movies-HD, I would want my index file to be at
the root directory M:\. Once this is done just click on "Add" and just cancel the
popup that comes after it ( it will just ask you to add a description for the library
entry) and click on the "save" button.

question 1. same steps as what your first post for int and external drive?
in step 4 of you 1st post says i should place  "index.html" iwhere my moveis are, so paano pag may int and ext drive ako, see below

question 2. when i attach nmt to my pc, do i also attache my external hd to nmt?

1. Be sure that you have your NMT connected to your PC via usb slave

question 3. in yamj gui, "my video file are on:" section...what do i select if i have internal drive in nmt and external drive? can i select both?

question 4. or i have to do the steps twice? once for nmt and 1 more for my external drive?

Hi sir, the easy way to have both internal and external drives working with jukebox is to create their own
index.htm. To create index.htm for the nmt , just follow directions mentioned here. And to create
index.htm on the external drive. just connect it to a pc by itself ( don't connect the external drive to the nmt
and then connect nmt to pc, it won't work). Once external drive is connected to pc just treat it as if it is
an nmt and just follow the procedure again, but this time select "usb drive" from the yam-gui options.
