I want a B&W film noir Buffy. :D

Me too!  The "Slayer Who Wasn't There", bwahahaha.

It could be a spell, couldn't it?  A spell that removes all colors from sight and renders everything B&W =)  Then you have Spike playing the homme-fatale, and Buffy doing a voice-over narration..

"As he stepped out of the shadows, I took one look at his blond head and razor cheekbones and I knew this bloke meant trouble..  But then, I wasn't the type to run away from trouble, blond or otherwise.  Especially not if he came with the kind of buns that were enough to cause cardiac arrest in a nunnery."

OR, we could do it a la OMWF and Moonlighting (Mr. Hankey, this is all your fault) and have a demon come in town, and then that demon opens up a buried crime that involves out gang. Which means flashbacks galore, because it's a noir and it's GOTTA have flashbacks. And that's the excuse for the outfits. :)

Maybe it could be a Humphrey Bogart-y demon. A boggart! Bwahahaha! (OK, that joke would KILL in Harry Potter-themed parties)

Bwahahahaha! It's the first red herring that involves hot tight buns!

And it's about time, doncha think?   ;D  Think of it as a feminist-type film noir.

Hey, "Intervention" tonight!

I guess some of of us will be watching with murderous concentration trying to catch which scenes will unfortunately get cut.

No spoilers, just trying to whet your appetite  ;D

Rounder Records formally announced that it will release a CD soundtrack from last season's critically acclaimed musical episode of UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Sept. 24. Rounder is releasing the CD with Mutant Enemy Music and Twentieth Century Fox Music.

The episode, "Once More With Feeling," was first broadcast on Nov. 6, 2001. The soundtrack will feature lyrics and music written by series creator Joss Whedon and performed by the show's cast, including star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The CD's 10 tracks will contain the entire original soundtrack to the show, as well as an unreleased demo version of "Going Through the Motions," sung by Whedon and his wife, Kai Cole, as well as score segments from three other "Buffy" episodes, "Restless," "Hush" and "The Gift," Rounder announced.

Yup! :)

But don't you think they should have included Giles' 2 other songs he sang in Season 4, as well? There might not be another opportunity to release it on CD in the future...

Hello :)

i started watching my freshly delivered Buffy season 2 last night and i found something interesting. On the list of directors of each show i noticed a Bruce Seth Green did some episodes such as Halloween and The Dark Age. Any relation to the actor who plays Dr Evil's dysfunctional son as well as the resident werewolf of the series? :)

They're not related. It's just a weird coincidence.

I want another full-length Giles number on that CD! ASH's solo CD was very badly produced - you could hardly hear him.

The following conversation is true. It took place over lunch. The actual names of the parties involved have been changed to protect the innocent.

Killer Bunny: "I heard Buffy is ending after this season?"

Mr. Hankey: "Nah, I read they're probably going to continue without Sarah Michelle Gellar."

Killer Bunny (terrified look in her eyes): "No!!! Not with Dawn!!! She's the S c r a p p y  D o o of that series!!!

 ;D

Altogether now: "Dawn-y Powerrrrr! Tadada-dat Ta-dah!"  8)

Well, there are many similarities. They're both relatives who suddenly appeared out of nowhere and both are absolutely annoying. I can just imagine dawn out on patrol saying "Let me at em, let me at em!"and "i'll splat 'em". ;D

BTW,since this is pinoyDVD after all, some buffy DVD news courtesy of dark horizons:

Buffy (TV): 'bigpoppasmurf' had a chance to chat briefly with Joss Whedon at the San Diego Comic Con and asked him about his doing more commentary tracks, here's his report: "He informed me that he had really warmed up to the idea of doing commentaries and enjoys it now. He also dropped the fact that he recorded 2 commentaries for the Once More With Feeling episode. I asked him if I would have to wait until the season 6 DVD set came out, and he said it may be coming out sooner than that, possibly as it's own separate disc. He's still working on the details though".

I can't wait for season 7! With all the rumors and the spoilers, the waiting's driving me crazy!

Last night's episode was "Tough Love", the first of the last four episodes of season five. It was an intense first parter - Willow and Tara's first fight, Glory mindsucking Tara, Willow versus Glory, and that shocking ending! Finally, Glory knows who the darn Key is!

Next week is "Spiral", featuring IMHO one of the best fight sequences of all time. Absolutely pulse pounding! It ranks up there with the Buffy/Angel fight in "Becoming Part 2" and the Buffy/Faith brawl in "Graduation Day Part 1"!

"Spiral" was so scary, in the sense that they're all in danger nearly every second.  Everything looked so hopeless and .. hay naku, just watch it na lang guys.

i have a question for all you buffy gurus ;)

this is regarding season 2 and the introduction of kendra. maybe i didn't quite understand it but was she given up by her parents to the watchers at the onset of her powers or was it before that? and if so how did they know she would become a slayer?

hope to get an answer from you guys. thanks :)
