sirs, i need some help. i'm just starting to build my home theater system. currently i have a jvc monitor & dvd player; denon 1803 avr; a pair of psb alpha b. now my plan is to add a subwoofer. i have a boston acoustics rally series 10" sub designed actually for car audio, but since i don't need it much for my car i'm planning to use it for my home theater if possible. I already had a sealed box made for it & now i need an amp to power it. i need at least 100watts RMS of power, can you help? or do you know anybody who sells home-made amps? my cell no. is 0917-5240253. thanks a lot.

vesuvius- you have these options for the sub amp:

1. you can opt to attach a sub amp to the enclosure to power your sub

2. use the amp of your car to drive the sub and buy a regulated 12v power supply to power your amp

3. buy a mono/stereo amp and just attach your sub to one of the speaker terminals of the amp to drive your sub

Speakers at the back are still in the experimental stage. 5 foot speakers with 3 4 1/2" extended range drivers and a titanium dome tweeter. These are audio speakers.

Based on our tests, it reached frequencies as low as 18 hz.

mga bossing, dun sa mga nakabili ng subwoofers na gawa nila boss nirv (alam ko maganda ito)... pa-PM naman ako ng feedback. namimili kasi ako between nirv subs, dq-12 and us audio.

dunforgiven- tweaking in the sense that we change the crossover of the speaker and try to mix and match until we get the best response from your speakers. Clearer mids and highs and a more controlled bass response.

Does anyone knows what brand they use for Kevlar speakers, I've seen some guys offering me cheap china made kevlar speakers which I think they are fakes, low quality which will last a year or two. I only know Focal, and Davis Acoustics that makes kevlar speakers. Does anyone with Nirvbkr speaker know the brand they use?

I would also like to ask who uses carbon fiber speakers, are they as good as kevlar speakers?
