i bought my 705 for $639.99 dollars with free shipping in states.

jac rate is $5.5 dollar per pound + $5 dollar handling fee.

705 weight on website is 35 pounds (i havent recieved it yet, so dunno actual)

$640 * 47 = 30,080
$5.5 * 35 * 47 = 9047.5
$5 * 47 = 235
= 39265.5

please note that actual exchange rate now is below 47... i think


im pretty sure if you are a good online discount coupon hunter you might get it below 600 dollars

if you actually got a relative who lives there who knows how to bargain hunt and use discount coupons.. you can hit below 500 dolalrs

1. yes, i had it sent to their new york office... but you have to notify local office b4hand.. pdvd members normally talk with leiden gonzales of JAC to get "our" special rates

Kung 110V lang ang Onk705, my decision will be easier, handsdown nako sa Yamy1800.

Can jeff give us an estimate kung how much kung siya magpaparating? besed sa feedback sa thread ni allen mukhang marami nga interested sa 705. I'm planning to get one when I go to HK this december, but if I can get it here then that would be better.

Kung 110V lang ang Onk705, my decision will be easier, handsdown nako sa Yamy1800.

Ay sayang, i'm off the hook now... as much as possible, I opt for 220V devices to avoid hassle of using transformers and avoiding the danger na may magkamaling mai-plug yan directly sa 220V.  Wala kasing 120V line sa house namin eh. 

Question for US-made Onkyos:  magkakaproblem ba yung unit considering that you use it in a tropical country like the Phils?  Isn't it that may mga products na "tropicalized", and I think US-made Onkyos are not tropicalized?

Ichecheck daw ni jeff yung voltage. balitaan ko kayo kung ano ang sasabihin niya.

For me main consideration ko if I'm in going for 805 would be yung burr brown DAC niya. Sa power kasi plan ko bumili ng power amp so not really important power sa akin. Kung may pre outs lang sana yung 605 yun ang bibilihin ko.
