Wala bago except DVDo Duo video processor. Pero lapit na ang mga ilang bago stuff. Punta muna ako as HK Hifi Show next week.

The big advantage of the demo rooms, however, was that they were about 150 square meters. Ang ganda ng acoustics kaya medyo may daya. Malayo sya sa acoustics ng ordinary rooms.

I recently got a pair of Focal Electra IW 1003 Be In-wall speakers to be my Wide speakers, replacing a pair of Focal Electra 1037 Be floorstanders. The 1037's were huge and they kept getting bumped. The in-wall speakers have freed up a lot of floor space and for their function as Wide speakers, they are doing their job very well. In a word, I would describe them as transparent. You don't notice them until you switch them off. They don't call attention to themselves, which is exactly what you want them to do.

Similar to my main speakers, they have the same W-cone technology for the woofer and mid-range. The tweeters are also beryllium, though the Utopias have a more advanced version. Nonetheless, the timbre match is very good because the Wide speakers "disappear".

It was quite impressive that in-wall speakers could perform as well as these but I'm aware of someone who has 5 of these in his home theater and they're supposed to perform excellently. I never thought I would ever use in-wall speakers but here they are and I love them.

Good question. Yun nga din comment ng iba pero gusto ko ang white kasi kitang-kita kaya kahit madilim, di siya mabubungo. Paranoid na ako kasi nabunggo ung dating floorstander, sumabit ang metallic cover ng beryllium tweeter and napunit ang tweeter. You don't want to know how much the tweeter assembly cost, toxic pa naman din.

Super ganda yan kung same color ng cloth sa walls ang grill cloth. Super invisible. That's what i did sa lahat ng HT speakers ko. I hid them sa cabinets, ceiling and wall with the speaker cloth matching the cabinets ceiling and walls. Panning is so great, feeling ko i would never go back to exposing the speakers again. Mas-immersive ang movie watching. I never experienced localization.

Kaya lang:

1. The grill is metal, not cloth. Mahirap din pinturahan.

2. Ayoko nga ng "invisible" speakers else baka mabunggo and ma-damage ang tweeter. Gusto ko nga Ang madaling makita.
