I saw a unit on display at an appliance center. Actually, there are 3 different brands on display. All playing the same video. A Samsung 32B350, a Sharp 32A37m, and a Pana 32c10. Of the 3 brands, Sharp has the best contrast. More whiter and more blacker than the other 2. Samsung is next while Pana is dead last in this comparison test. Did ask the salesperson to try to adjust the settings of the Pana. Both Brightness and Contrast are already maxed out. There is no way to adjust this, so as to match the Sharp unit.

Although am interested in buying this Pana 32c10. But from what I saw today, I don't like the contrast ratio of this unit. Can I get the feedback from the owners of this Pana 32c10 model?

I have seen the Pana 32x10 before. And I do like its contrast as compared to this 32c10. Is there really a difference between the 2? The blacks of 32c10 really looks greyish. The contrast of LG 32LH20 seems to be better than this model.

I do need your feedback on this before stocks do run out.

Go with the tv that will satisfy you. From your post, it seems the 32C10X already falls short of your standards. The 32C10X got a lot of attention due to the low promo price. It's specs & PQ will be good enough for some but not for others.

I finally get one at SOGO Glorietta 5 for 21K. Ayaw na talaga nilang magbaba. Sa Abenson Gbelt 5 firm na 21.9K. Sa Abenson Glorietta 5, cash is 21,380. Then sa lahat ng AV shops in that area (western, Automatic, Ansons Landmark, Ansons makati) wala nang stocks. Ayaw ko na magbakasakali kinabukasan dahil i sold my 22" lcd, wala akong magagamit pag nagkataon. So ayun kinagat ko na yung 21K kahit may mga reports na 19K ang kuha nila.

Im satiesfied well because its cheap and it serves the purpose. If you have powerful PC that can smoothly run 1080p files, parang naka 120hz ka na and full HD.

Kung DVD upscaling lang eh expect grainy picture.

Will post additional review after several test I am yet to be made.

Still nanghihinayang ako sa 2K. Napagod na rin kasi ako sa kakaikot. Nag uulan pa.

@Ppooh, that's exactly my sentiments. The Sharp unit is much better, at a price P29,999 (with free home theater). Had I not been into this dilemma with my broken Samsung (Samsung is giving me hope, I hope na hindi false hope parang Lotto) I would have gotten the Sharp.

With a limited budget and need for additional 2 years warranty, the Panasonic is the bargain lately. But will I have regrets while I watch? Maybe, so the Sharp is stuck in my mind (for perceived quality) as well as the LG full HD for IQ.

Since the contrast ratio is not up to my standards, am not interested in this model anymore.

Although I did not pursue haggling with the salesperson of the appliance store, it seemed that at least php20k could be worked out. I don't know if they could go lower to php19.5k or php19k even. I did see 7 boxed units on display. Just PM me if you are interested in pursuing this. I will respond to those interested, one person every 2 days. So as to give you ample time to go to the said store.

As of Sept 25 at 5pm, the said store still have 7 units on stock. I will not be able to check how many units they still have on stock afterward.

I believe there is also another store with a unit on display. Don't know whether they could reduce the indicated price as well. I suppose they also do have stock as well.

Another store had run out of units to sell. According to the salesperson, they have sold 85 units in total. I told him about the price of php19.5k. He even told me that he can work out php19k as well. Although they don't have anymore units on stock. According to this Panasonic salesperson, they are expecting the next batch of shipment to arrive 2nd week of Oct.

@arnoldc, hope you don't mind me asking. What fault have you encountered with your Samsung? What specific model? How long have this been with you?

As I am considering a Samsung before. But am liking the Panasonic lately. TIA.

C Series is supposed to have a long panel life, up to 100,000 hours or 30 years for 8 hour/day usage.  I'm not quite sure buying extended warranty is really deserved unless its an issue on other parts of the lcd.  I would rather purchase a Voltage regulator and other things that can help prolong life of the TV with preventive/good usage.

@DVDGamer, my Samsung has an average (supposedly) lifespan of 60,000 hours or 20 years. Despite protection from an AVR, and the fact that it is used about 5 hours a day max (I watch 24 on my notebook), it still gets busted. This Panasonic model is new, and there's no guarantee it will not puff out in the most opportune time. I've read a post here where his Panasonic similar to what I use today, conked out in less than 1 1/2 years.

I guess that's true, it could happen to anyone.  I have quite a few Plasmas/LCDs and, knock on wood, I've been okay so far.  Though a 5k warranty for a 20k unit may seem excessive for some specially if prices continue to go down.  So you'll need to consider the budget constraints both ways if you'd want to get a warranty or not.  Good luck to us all on our choices!

Are you really sure this is a 32x10 model and not a 32c10 model? As php21.9k is the usual price for a 32c10. 32x10 is at php29k regular price in appliance centers.

went to BPI installment madness this afternoon and c10x nga po yung 21900.
